Pillars of Hope Language and Vocational Institute provides an opportunity for various students who wish to explore the opportunity to complete a study abroad experience in Costa Rica.

STUDENTS AGE 13 AND OLDER UP TO AGE 17
Special opportunities exist for 13-17 year-old students who wish to continue their success program with a seamless transition between their Specialty Boarding School in the United States and the Costa Rican experience abroad; Students get both a stateside process and a foreign experience along with a study abroad language acquisition program they will need for college. (Most colleges now require a second language Credits for admission) While at the stateside process they immediately get highly motivated to get to the minimum level (level two 400 points) necessary for transfer to POH thus stopping the sitting on level 1 zero points for months wasting valuable resources that happens so often in programs.introductory price of $1995 tuition per month (regular tuition is $2495) also the parents or sponsor pays only $1995 tuition at the stateside program GCA or CSA while the student fulfills basic requirements for the transfer which makes this the most cost effective option we are aware of.

STUDENTS AGE 18 AND OLDER
Special opportunities exist for 18-year-old students who wish to continue their success program with a seamless transition between their Specialty Boarding School in the United States and the Costa Rican experience abroad.

TRANSITIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM STUDENTS
13 to 17 year old students who are currently enrolled in Schools with a success program may also wish to consider transferring to Pillars of Hope Institute to participate in the Leadership Program as junior staff members while completing their own personal academic and success programs. These students must have achieved upper level standing in their success program to be eligible for this opportunity. Special financial opportunities for their sponsors are also available and may be discussed with the Pillars of Hope Administrator and/or the School with which joint agreements exist. This opportunity provides students an opportunity to immerse themselves in the Costa Rican culture, learn of some differences in foreign societies that help them to gain a greater understanding and appreciation of their own culture by comparisons. Pillars of Hope Institute's Transitional Leadership Program offers these students an opportunity of a lifetime to spend a three-month semester abroad while incurring little or no additional expense for their sponsors. Students who choose this option must first write a small essay of 250 words or less to apply for acceptance and direct it to their family representative at the participating school. All expenses involving obtaining a passport, escort and transportation to Costa Rica are provided by the participating school and Pillars of Hope. In the event that students and their sponsors choose to continue their study abroad beyond the three month semester, a scholarship offer of a reduction in the monthly tuition to two thousand, four hundred ninety dollars ($2,490) for students who remain enrolled at Pillars of Hope is available. Pillars of Hope Institute monthly student fees are as published on this website for all students.
